ABOUT JANE

I have been in the games industry for nearly 40 years, working with a wide variety of platforms, starting with the Sinclair ZX81 with one kilobyte of memory to the incredible computing power of the consoles of today. I taught myself to program in hospital, having had surgeries over many years of my childhood. It kept me occupied, it gave me a focus but I never thought that 40 years later it would still be giving me an exciting and rewarding career.

A career that has seen me work with some incredibly talented people at some of the world's greatest video gaming companies, from Atari, to Microprose, to Electronic Arts. I have had the fortune and great pleasure to work on some incredible titles, from early 8 bit games, to Alien Vs Predator, to the Sims.

I started as a trainee programmer and during that 40 years rose through the ranks to senior vice president levels and have held roles in business development, software development and publishing. One thing that has never changed during that time is the passion to make great games.

Jane Whittaker lead some of the key titles in our time together at EA. I am also well aware of his great track record before and after our time together. I consider him (like myself) a sage guru of the deep knowledge of the gaming industry!
